I serve as the Global Head of Junicorns, the world's most diverse student community for impact.

I do this under the leadership of my guru, J. A. Chowdary, the man widely credited with bringing Information Technology to India. His life's work showed us what happens when systems, not just individuals, are redesigned.

Through Junicorns, we are enabling something deeper than programs or projects — we are creating a new asset class. One where young people can find their calling and stand by it, whether that calling is soil, water, nature, plastic, livelihoods, or any other form of impact.

Because there is a natural progression every young person goes through:

Somewhere along this journey, I realised something important: this wave — this shift in purpose, awareness, and questioning — is far closer than we think.

Look at what has unfolded in just the last few months alone:

And this is without even touching the ongoing global wars or geopolitical unrest.

Every generation that feels unheard eventually looks for a reset button. When fair systems don't exist, that reset is often expressed through anger, disruption, or violence. Not because people want chaos — but because they are left without fair metrics to participate meaningfully.

Let me explain this simply.

Imagine we're playing a board game with Gen Alpha — the children currently in school. Say the game is Snakes and Ladders. Before they join, you and I roll the dice and we're already on the 10th or 20th square.

Do they start from zero?

No. They pull the board and ask us to restart the game.

Now imagine this: we're not on the 10th or 20th square — we're already on the 80th or 90th. And we're asking them to simply cope.

If we don't redesign the rules and offer fair metrics of success, they won't have a choice.

I'm not here to change your perspective. I'm here to create awareness — trusting that, as a byproduct, our perceptions might widen.

So let's orchestrate this purpose wave.
